About Us

Originally the Hildebrand's Resort established back in the 1930's, this lovely little community, now christened The Old Swiss Village, has become a passion project of the current owners as they have worked to bring it back to life. Capitalizing on its rustic charm while bringing a modern flare, guests are able to take a step back in time and enjoy a peaceful serene setting along the Lake of the Ozarks. Don't forget to check out the old lodge which is now Michael's Steak Chalet where guests can have a delicious meal and the wine bar will be an exciting addition when it opens in the Spring of 2019.

  • This was a quaint, and comfortable place to stay with an amazing view of the lake. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Lots of parking available.

  • We loved the location overlooking the lake. The view was spectacular! Although the weather was cold and windy, while sitting in the living room we were blessed by seeing a bald eagle swoop down while passing over the porch close enough to be able to see it clearly. And the sunsets were beautiful! We also loved driving around the area and visited the two State Parks to do some hiking.

  • We loved staying at this cottage. It is perfect for a family of 4! It was clean and looked like the photos and you can tell the hosts did a great job designing and up keeping the space. We loved the balcony and it has the perfect view for sunsets. The hosts were responsive and offered suggestions for eating during our stay.
